                              Class Evaluation

1. Some things that I like about this class is that its a stress reliever because with all my other classes I have assignments due and finals going on currently so its kinda hectic. But with this class Im getting practice to improve my typing skills  so in the future I can accomplish my goat of typing accurately quickly.

2. To be honest there is nothing I dont like about this class, nothing is wrong on how the class acts or Mr. Haymore educates so I think this class is swell.

3. Maybe we can do more skills besides typing like more life lessons.

4. The highlight of this class was when Mr. Haymore tells us story's about people who chose the wrong like famous football players for universities.

5. I think I did my best but there is always room for improvement.

6. Yes I do see my goals journal maybe not everyday but probably one day yes and one day no because I still have that goal to complete if I hadn't.

7. Im committed to be a CTR person because when Im old and on my deathbed I wanna know that I have did my best in life to help people and had a purpose in life so I can lead the next younger people to being a CTR person as well.

               “When you Tell One Lie,
It leads to another” - Paul Hatch

What this  means is that when you tell one single lie it leads to a trail of lies because you have to create a false happening.  So for example if you a child lies about them doing their homework to their parents so they can have that free time, the thing about this is what about if that child built up trust  overtime from always doing their homework up until this upcoming homework came? Poof!  All the trust gained is suddenly gone because you just had to lie when you  couldn't just do that routinely homework hour. Then for your parents to believe you have to fabricate a whole scenario in which you did your homework. Deep down you're not gonna feel good about it, your gonna regret it

The Sting of the Scorpion
It's about a boy who is 7 years old and his name is Elder Patrick Kearon of the Seventy he was stung by a scorpion because he wear flip flops instead of shoes. He was lazy and rebellious because his parents always told him to wear his shoes when walking outside. He did experience pain but did not get seriously hurt. Now he knows to always wear his shoes when he is going outside and there a chance of getting hurt.

It's a quote you can use that if you're in a situation that is questionable. Like you know its wrong but you have a urge to do it.

Challenges Teens Face Today

  1. Several challenges that teens face today are bullying, stress, eating disorders, peer-pressure, depression and cyber addiction. These are only a few of them there is many of them.
  2. One of the main challenges I have is that I stress too much then I should. That is because I worry too much about grades and over think about certain subjects. What I am doing to help prevent it is to get all my stuff done and making sure I feel confident on what I am turning in.
  3. Being a CTR person will help me face my challenge by making sure I do all the right things I know I should do.
  4. I can help other teens simply talk to them because everyone should be able to vent out on how they feel.
  5. Image Result for teen face challenges
  6. The greatest thing teens need is support and guidance because they are young adults who don't know much and don't have any experience that will help them when they are on their own. They need support so they can feel that someone agrees on them and want them to make and support the right decisions.

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”
  • President John F. Kennedy

What this quote means to me is that you physical fitness is not just to be fit or to have a healthy body it's mostly more important about the activities and participation you do towards Physical fitness. Physical fitness is not to see who's stronger than others or who's faster no it is not about that it's about what you bring to the table like saying it's about the participation you give. For example, in P.E we play medic and we get into groups so we can play against other teams our P.E teacher doesn't just fail us for a reason he sees on who tries and participates he doesn't care whether we win or lose he cares if we try and participate, not just to stand there and not do anything. Physical fitness is not always gonna be about
being in good shape it's gonna be about being intelligent and using your mind and motivation in order to have a great background towards Physical fitness. It stands for more than being just healthy and having a healthy body. In conclusion, never think about Physical fitness as something about being healthy think about it as a motivation and a significant perspective in your life. That is because we all need to do our own best in what we do.

               Health Science Librarian

Duties & Responsibilities:  The duties and responsibilities of a health science librarian Medical librarians work in libraries or resource centers located in hospitals, research centers, or medical schools.. They do much of the work a typical librarian would do, such acquiring and cataloging books and offering help those who are using the library for research or educational purposes , but they work with health-related materials. Many provide information to families, working with medical staff to approve educational resources, or to collect data and manage newsletters. They also maintain day-to-day operations of the library, covering some basic administrative duties.

Salary: Starting : $40,000, Average: $65,000

Education: Medical librarians must have a Master of Library and Information Science degree from a school with an ALA-accredited program. Applicants must already have an undergraduate degree (in any field). It is helpful, but not necessary, to have taken undergraduate courses in biology, medical sciences, medical terminology, computer science, education and/or management.
Sometimes medical librarians may have PhD or other second degrees, such as advanced degrees in medical information or business and management.
Medical librarians also may apply for membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals, a credentialing program for medical librarians sponsored by the Medical Library Association.

Demand:  This job market as a whole is supposed to grow more slowly than the average for all other profession, with a modest growth of only only 3%-9% over the next decade. However, individuals skilled in developing computerized library systems will have better than average employment opportunities. Replacing librarians who leave the profession due to retirement will continue to be a great source of employment. There will also be opportunities in nontraditional settings, which include information brokers, private corporations, and consulting firms.

I wouldn't want to be one because I like the patient care that I would give I like the science in the  medical  field and would actually want to do what I am reading about.

“Kindness is the essence of greatness”.
                                           -Joseph B. Wirthlin

It's true because when a person shows kindness they make the other person feel that someone cares about them. Also when someone receive kindness they might do something kind for another person  and chain keeps going on of kindness. Furthermore when there is no kindness in the world then that gets rid of about everything. Like for example if we didn't show no kindness to endangered animal then they would probably be extinct. Also there would be lots of poverty because no one would be nice enough to do fundraisers. The world currently doesn't have fullyb

"“If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true do not say it.”
  -Marcus Aurelius
This is true because it's not right to give people false information., also we should always aim for the right and only speak the truth. Nobody trust a liar because you never know when to trust them. Like for example  if a person says that the world is gonna end tomorrow, but carries no scientific proof then why believe them? Or like the famous story of the boy who cried wolf, in the end nobody believed hims and he died. If it's not true don't speak it.
Happy Thanksgiving
What is Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is a national holiday that is celebrated throughout the United States . It is on the last thursday of November and it brings many other events such as the Macy's parade where New Yorkers embrace the cold to watch the floats , the sales on department stores to kick off the start on Christmas shopping and the football game that is watched as the last regular season game. It's sometimes referred as the turkey bowl. Lastly it's about giving thanks and  to bond with family members  with a good meal.

]
What is the history of Thanksgiving?
The grateful Pilgrims then declared a three-day feast, starting on December 13, 1621, to thank God and to celebrate with their Indian friends. While this was not the first Thanksgiving in America (thanksgiving services were held in Virginia as early as 1607), it was America’s first Thanksgiving Festival. It was because in their first year almost half of the pilgrims died before spring even came.

“ Doing what's right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”- Chick Moorman

I think it makes a  better person within yourself to do what's right. For example if a Olympian uses performance enhancers in an event against other people who didn't use performance enhancers. That ultimately makes it a bit harder for people who did not cheat. They will never know who would actually won if the cheater had won an award. Furthermore that person will live with the guilt for the rest of their life for choosing the CTR when they could have won fair and square.

3 Magic keys to live your life with integrity

  1. Have the courage to say no.
  2. Have the courage to face truth.
  3. Do the right thing because it is right.
-W. Clement Stone
I think that's it's important to have integrity because its just gonna help you overall. For example when you are going to go to a college. You want to have the the best first year there, and pass all your classes. By partying and drinking you might let your dreams slip away because you chose the CTW. So to keep on the right track in life its important to have integrity.

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

          -Proverbs 13:20
  1. The statement are words of wisdom because it is seen everywhere, one example of it is in school.
  2. School is an example because students have the decision of who they are gonna hang out with in lunch and in class sometimes.

I seen examples of this at school and seen my relatives go through it as well with this experience. But it seems that parents notice the difference in their kids. Like them coming home late.

On watching the video I like that the school of Wesco, Texas  their basketball team players seem like they're an example of good recreation. Since the team of Gainesville never had a single fan it seemed a little sad to let it just pass by. Also that the Gainesville will have an example of doing good since they are in a correction center. Nobody should ever have zero fans because it's the part of the game, the excitement etc.

“The best recreation is to do good.”-William Penn

Based on the quote I think it's true because  it will give the courage to do good things regularly. Like for example…
  1. Standing up for what is right.
  2. Helping the elderly
  3. Giving your seat to an elderly or women with children on the bus.
  4. Pick up your environment even though you didn't throw the trash.
  5. Give good sportsmanship
These are just some of the examples that will happen if your recreation is something that is positive and selfless. This is because when you do good you feel good. Overall you're gonna feel better with yourself knowing that you did something to brighten someone else's day.

"Dont sacrifice what you most want for what you want know. Write down what you most and see it often"- Peter Vidmar
           School Homecoming

Definition:  The first dance (semi formal) held at the beginning of every year. Is for every grade, not just underclassmen. Is also a dance for the previous graduating class to come back and dance again, hence the name "home coming", like "coming home". So it's a dance that is the first one for all the classes.

History: The first schools that had homecomings are Baylor, Illinois and Missouri, which was around the year 1910. Despite the debate of who first had created they had all the same characteristics such as the football game and dances, this was to help create more school pride and spirit. Furthermore it was wildly successful so it spreaded to other schools in the 1920’s and soon became an American Tradition.

Reason: Many high schools celebrate homecoming during football season, but some schools also celebrate during basketball season or even hockey or soccer. Some schools have more than one homecoming each year, taking place during different seasons for different sports. This annual American high school tradition oftentimes includes a parade, spirit days during the week at school, fun activities, competitions between grade levels and faculty along with spin-off athletic activities, such as powder puff football or volleyball games. A pep rally usually occurs on the day of the big homecoming game. This includes cheers for the team and music from the school band. The main team is featured, and sometimes the captains of the team or the coach speaks. A dance follows the homecoming game, and a homecoming queen and sometimes king are crowned either during this time or at halftime of the game. All of these encourage students and alumni to have school spirit and pride.
