In life, direction provides people with purpose in their life, much like a goalpost in football. As a senior in high school, it is important for me that I find the direction that I want to go to. Of course, it has to be something that is going to help others, or be something in the CTR. I find it especially important for this year to know already what direction my senior class peers want to do after high school. Since this is our last year as students in a government funded educational institution for free. 

Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities:  Promote, maintain, and improve individual and community health by assisting individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors. Collect and analyze data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies and environments. May also serve as a resource to assist individuals, other professionals, or the community, and may administer fiscal resources for health education programs.
Salary: 36k-71k
Education: need at least a bachelor's degree
Demand or Need for this profession 11% going to increase through 2028

A Choice: Poverty or Prosperity

Poverty is something that people choose be in. Hard work always provides rewards to those who believe in creating a greater person of themselves. If people just changed their mindset they could become who they want to be, changed their status.

To take everything in life by following the masses, can lead to ctw and choosing the wrong. It is important to stand ground on to what your beliefs and do not let others change as to what you know is right. Example's can be the recent news, such as abortion.

Wrongness can never be changed into making right. For example vaping, it is a substance that is another way of people getting  their nicotine addition. They made a lot of flavors targeting towards children and young people. It leads to the same addictions and it is worse because of the added chemicals.The removal of these substances is the only right thing to do, there is no second better option, all of it leads to harming your body, mind, and spirit.

When it comes to life, one of the most important things a person can focus on is their attitude. If someone has an enthusiastic attitude, then they are often more positive in the situations they are presented in life by their decisions. In addition,  If you are enthusiastic about a particular goal, you will be so excited that you will do your best in order to achieve it. It will keep you motivated to go on and on with it. This does not mean you will work on it all the time, but even if you are not your mind will constantly be thinking about the goal you are enthusiastic about. It is exactly your subconscious mind that will be focusing on the things you are passionate & enthusiastic about. 

Valentine's Day

                                             

      Valentine's day comes from the Roman festival of Lupercalia held in mid-February. The February 14, when lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts. The holiday has origins in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, held in mid-February. The festival, which celebrated the coming of spring, included fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I replaced Lupercalia with St. Valentine’s Day. It came to be celebrated as a day of romance from about the 14th century.

In life, doing whats right can lead to an overflow of success. A great example is Dean Smith who decided to not judge by color, but by character and performance. He coached the basketball legend Michael Jordan, who is seen as one of the greatest of all time. He never gave in to the pressures of letting someone trying to tell him to make a selfish decisions, or choosing ctw paths. Furthermore he believed in racial equality, he did not chose based off colors, but morals and deep down know the greatness of his players.

Every person is in charge of their own body, mind, and spirit. Nobody else but you are the person in charge of your own destiny. People can guide and help you along the way, but ultimately it is you who decides whats is going to happen. With that said, I will continue the right decisions for my body, mind. and spirit since they all connect together. If people do not get care of one the areas of body, mind, and spirit, then there is a imbalance resulting in the possible collapse. 

The Harmful Effects of Drugs

Drugs harm the body, mind, and soul of those who decided to take drugs. Drugs come in many forms, some are very accessible, even to teenagers who hang out with the wrong crowd. In addition, young people who decide to take the drug path often, drop out of school, and lose connections to family, since they might steal to get money for their drugs. It makes people selfish and willing to do anything for their next high. I remember reading an article on yahoo, where a man from Chicago tried to sell his child for drug money, absolutely disturbing to know what drugs can do to a person. Heroin abuse has almost doubled for ages 18-25 in the past decades. Furthermore, Addiction is considered a highly treatable disease, and recovery is attainable. About 10% of American adults who are at least 18 years old say they are in recovery from an alcohol or drug abuse issue. The way I would promote saying no to drugs is to have pictures of people before and after drug abuse all over the highschool hallways.
