“You will go far with CTR”- Mr. Haymore
As the final quote of this school year I will follow it. I have learned that not everything in life is going to go your way but the least you can do is make the right choices so that it would go the right way. I have also learned that when you really try to do something it will happen but you just have to be patient. It’s all about hard work and dedication. Not only that but you must be prepared to do what’s right in any time given. It’s like you’re a superhero and your power is the ability to choose the right. In conclusion this year I have talked about how choosing the right can benefit you and how it’s one of the choices you have because you always have choices. I also learned that we must value what we are being taught because if a person tells you something it’s for a reason. In other words they learned the hard way why not to do certain things. For example if your parent tells you to take advantage of your education, do it because they would love to get a second chance to fix that problem. So when your teacher tells you to choose the right you just do it because they want the best for you. So always remember to be a CTR person and choose the right 24/7.  I think a good way to do CTR is to whenever in any bad or crossroads situation it is best to follow the right.

Class Evaluation
Things that enjoyed being in computer class block 8  taught by Mr.Haymore is that I learned more than computers. Of course, we learned how to properly type, create spreadsheets, make a blog, how to code and many more. But he also gave us life advice that for some of us, changed our view on the world and how to treat others. One of things I will never forget about is CTR (choose the right) this is a statement that is lifetime help for any situation, because you will be always choosing the right. With him making us do a powerpoint and presentation on choosing the right and overall goodness it made me have to research on amazing people. Furthermore, on what means to have  a good in soul, mind, heart and body. He also made it nice to have class discussions on the success statement quote which made us go more in depth with the quote.
I can’t find anything I don’t like about this class really. Probably the thing I wish we could have more time on is our life journals. I like reading my goals. Also I like reviewing my past victories, it gives me a boost of determination knowing that I can accomplish my goals. If I put my mind onto it I know I can do it.

Ways to improve the class is to probably to continue emphasizing on CTR in our curriculum. I personally enjoyed the student success statements because they made me want to strive to be the best person I can be. To add, they are good things for future freshmen to start knowing about. It can help them start their high school year great. It could help those who need that inspiration in their lives to do good, because when you do good, you feel good. Lastly it can help with learning how to correctly type.

The highlight for me in this class for me was the student success statements. That is because I learned quotes that can be of lifetime use. They were all good quotes to live by. My favorite one was by Thomas Monson. I think he was the first student success statement I ever did. I like when Mr. Haymore gave us real life examples of these.

I think I did best, but there always can be improvement on somethings. I think I got better at typing. I think so because I'm remembering the keys better now than before I started taking this class. I really tried my best in everything else. I will always be improving my typing skills. Also continue with my life planning journal.
Yes I am reading my journal every couple of days to remember what I'm trying to reach for. When I feel a sense of doubt I know I can always look back at it. The journal is a life time commitment. Which I strive to keep. I think I can continue it for all my life.

I am committed to keeping on being a CTR person because it will only make me a better person. If there is other people following to be a CTR person it will only make the world a better place. Anyone can do it, at any age. Hopefully CTW people will one day follow CTR because CTW is a downward path.

To be a CTR Person

“THE ULTIMATE CHOICE is to be a CTR Person-to Always CHOOSE THE RIGHT 24/7!!!”
                                                            Mr. Haymore

The statement is telling us to always do the right thing, and at all times. That it is a good choice to make with yourself and others. To be CTR is to to do what is good in your heart. The beauty of choosing the right is that it has so many benefits and it could never go wrong. You get all you want when you choose the right you just have to wait and be patient for it to happen. Overall I learned and have reflected that it takes a lot of courage to make the right choices and sometimes you good deed may not be noticed but you are somehow rewarded. It’s something that I will never forget and someday because of this choice things will be okay.

                                                            Character
If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.
                                                           Conclusion:
If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world.
                                                   Chinese Proverb

We have peace within and a astounding character then you can move on to the world. This is because if you don’t have the character for peace how can you make others believe in it or want it. An example would be people who talk about peace and how great it is but when they go home at the end of the day they are mad. They start to fight with their family and that doesn’t bring peace. If we want peace we must start with who we are and what we do. Then we continue to the people around us and make them see this too. After that you move on to bigger groups and when people see that it truly is possible they will believe in peace. Not only that but they will put in their everyting to accomplish it.

“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder”- Thomas Carlyle

What this quote means to me is that there is no direction if there is no rudder.. Not just that but where we want to go and who we want to be. Sometimes we become confused with this because our emotions get mixed up with our thoughts. This must not stop us from doing what we want to do. When we have goals or our minds and hearts set on something there is nothing that can change how we feel about reaching and triumphing about it. This is why we must make our goals today so that later everything is clear, crystal clear. Having that mindset of knowing what you’re doing can save you a lot of time. It’s also just a good habit to practice. Overall what i learned today is that we must have our goal etched in our minds and every time we feel like giving up we just remember what we are working so hard for. In conclusion our goals is our future, and maybe they won’t go in order but we will accomplish them as long as they are in our mind.

One of my goals:
Memorial Day Weekend

                                   a1.jpg

What I did this weekend for Memorial day is that my family had a barbeque. All my close family members came over. Some of the movies I watched was the Goonies with the rest of my cousins. Some of the homework that I did was I had some reading assigned to me and some math work. Also to study for my Physics final and instrument final.

“When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive” - Alan Paton

An example of this would be if someone made a mean remark about you when they shouldn’t have but they did. They probably didn’t think it hurt because sometimes people speak before they think. It obviously did hurt and you might feel that pain for a little while or a very long time until you forgive that person. You see if you forgive a person then it’s just all there  fault you create a sense of guilt in them. Later on they will apologize and next time they won’t be so mean to you. In conclusion forgiveness is key to being able to “breath”. Or in other words to “take some weight off you chest”. After all forgiving never hurt a person.

Memorial Day
                                  mday.jpg

Memorial day is when we celebrate fallen soldiers, all of the vets and current. It is on the May 29.Some ways to show respect for Memorials day is by having a barbeque and giving thanks during the barbeque for the fallen soldiers, vets and those serving us now. You can give donations to charities that will provide assistance to current veterans so they know they are appreciated and their service is not taken for granted. What I will be doing on Memorial day is that I will probably be going to the river with my family to have a barbeque with the rest of my cousins. We often do something for Memorial day since it's an extra day to do something. What I find interesting about Memorial day is that it is holiday that is our very own and no other country celebrates it but us.

“Dare to do right” - Rex D. Pinegear

We always dare people to do things and sometimes those people dare us to do things. Dares aren’t bad on the contrary they motivate us to get out of our comfort zone.  The only time you should do a dare is when you think it’s okay to do it. In other words if it’s not a dare that would risk your life or have negative consequences in the end. For example a good dare would involve complimenting someone vs. saying mean things to someone. Don’t be afraid of dares because not all of them are bad. If you do a dare to prove yourself to someone, really think about it. In conclusion what I learned today is that you should do what you want to do and only do things that are right. We have to have the strength and courage to be ourselves and follow our hearts no matter if we stand alone or if we feel alone.

“Dare to stand alone”- Thomas S. Monson
What I think of this statement is that it's ok to stand alone if you know what people are doing around is you is wrong. Like if for example you notice that your friends are smoking and doing drugs. They are in a group and they ask you if you would like to join them. Instead of choosing the wrong you go off and do right but you may be alone. That's okay because you know that you are doing well for your mind, body and soul.

“If I’ve got correct goals, and If I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing, I’m going to succeed.”- Dan Dierdorf

Success, what does it mean. It has many different meanings to many different people. The only thing that we have in common is that we want it, we want it with all our heart. I agree with Dan on how to obtain this thing called success all we can do is work hard and hope. It’s not just working hard but working with effort, and giving it your best. In other words you have to overcome many challenges in order to reach what your idea of success is. This is so that when you finally obtain it you are thankful for what it is and appreciate the road you took.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing”- Theodore Roosevelt

The best thing you can do is the right thing because you can have a good conscious . What this success statement means to me is that when we have a choice to do something that will impact others it’s best for it to be the right thing . In other words, if you want to be a better person one of the steps you should take is learning when to do the right thing without hesitation. This reminds me of the time when i had to make a tough decision. It was in the summer when I was about 9 years old. My mom had bought my sisters and me something, but it was a surprise, so she told us not to look into the bag . It was so tempting to look but i knew that if i did my mother would be mad. So i waited until she gave it to me. I was proud of myself because i did the right thing. In conclusion, what I learn today is that you always have to make choices. Sometimes it may be hard to do it but doing the right thing is always best.
