Duties and Responsibilities: A otolaryngologist are physicians trained the medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat( ENT) and related structure of the head and neck. For the ears they usually deal with patients who have hearing disorders, ear infections balance disorders, facial nerve or cranial nerve disorders, as well as cancerous disorders of the outer and inner ear. Secondly for the nose care of the nasal cavity as well as the external appearance of the nose. Lastly for the throat is managing diseases of the larynx (voice box).

Salary:$369,790

Education: Must complete about 15 years of education and training including a 4-year undergraduate program, 4-year medical program, at least 5 years of speciality training and a 1- to 2- year residency program.

Demand: The demand has grown with the population getting older as it is. Many openings because of the long schooling and how long it takes.
