   Duties and Responsibilities: Dentist specialize in oral health.So what that means they diagnose oral diseases, promote oral health and disease prevention. Those are just the few of the things that Dentist do. Some of the other things they do is monitor the growth and development of the teeth and jaws. Furthermore they perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity. So what this means is that they get care of the patients oral health and gives them advice on how they can improve their oral health. This is especially important because they way you get care for your oral health will affect you in the long run when you're older.

• Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons:$187,200 or more
• Dentist, all other specialist:$171,100
• Dentist, general:$152,700
• Prosthodontist:$119,740

Education: They need to have went to a dental school and 2-4 year residency program related to their speciality. Also have a licensing program.

Demand for Profession: The need for dentist will increase with 14% with the population growing older.  Which is more faster than any other job out there. Also with cosmetic whitening treatments being the hot topic in oral health. There will be a likely increase in that profession.

Reflection : I wouldn't mind because I have always talked to my orthodontist on how she started her career.
