St. Patrick's Day


           St. Patrick is a man who at 16 was captured by Irish pirates where he became a laborer and had a vivid dream that in which he was shown the way to escape. After that he got into British ship and went back home. He didn't stay to long but the time he was there he converted to Christianity and decided to become a priest, which he did. So he felt still disturbed from being held captive for long that he decided that he was going to convert the country of Ireland to Christianity.
   
           The purpose of St. Patrick's Day is to honor St Patrick's Day is a global celebration of Irish culture on or around March 17. It particularly remembers St Patrick, one of Ireland's patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century.
