Environmental Health Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities: Environmental health specialist monitor health and safety conditions in residential, industrial, commercial and recreational settings. They may also be called a health inspector. Their main duty is to determine the existence of possible health hazards and to take steps to correct them. The majority of the specialist work at government agencies that monitor local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
Salary: $37,300-$57,551
Education: Bachelor’s degree, Voluntary certification, Work experience
Demand: The employment outlook in private industry should grow as more companies turn toward self enforcement of regulations to avoid government sanctions. But right now it's at average job growth.
I wouldn't want to be one because, you might go to a dangerous place and might get hurt because of the poor safety it has.
